I forgive myself
For not always knowing what made you cry
For the times I felt hopeless
For when I misread your signs
For not always being happy
For not always being present
For it not being love at first sight
For daydreaming about time alone
For not being attentive to myself
I forgive myself
For not always forgiving myself
Yom Kippur.
I see this day as an opportunity to ask forgiveness from my loved ones.
I see this day as an opportunity to start anew, for myself.
Self forgiveness, self love, self empowerment.
I remind myself of my strengths, remember my favorite moments, and internalize time and time again that it’s ok to be human.
Every person must be able to find the ability to forgive themselves. Every parent. Every mother.
Tell me, what helps you forgive yourself?
